Nilow Privacy Policy

1. The short version
Nilow is offline-first. Your groups, expenses, and receipt photos are stored on your device. We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't track what you spend money on.
2. Who we are

3. What Nilow stores on your device
- Your profile (display name and avatar you choose)
- Groups, members, expenses, splits, and settlements
- Receipt photos you capture, and text extracted from them
- Preferences (theme, default currency, payment handles like UPI/PayPal)
- Your Nilow Pro entitlement status
No account is required to use Nilow. This data stays on your device unless you turn on sync (see below).
4. Receipt scanning
Receipt text recognition runs on your device using Google ML Kit. Receipt images are processed locally and are not uploaded to us for scanning. Photos you keep are stored on your device with the related expense.
5. Optional sync & sharing
If you invite others to a group or enable sync, the data needed to share that group (members, expenses, splits, and balances) is sent to our sync backend so your group members' devices stay up to date. We store only what is required to provide sync and do not use it for advertising. If you never enable sync or invite anyone, your data stays local.
6. Payments & Nilow Pro
Nilow Pro is sold through Google Play Billing. Your payment is processed by Google — we do not receive or store your card details. Google provides us with the purchase status needed to unlock Pro features.

On our marketing site we may use analytics cookies only with your consent, following our general Exeebit Privacy Policy.
8. Children
Nilow is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. Deleting your data
You can delete any expense or group in the app at any time, and uninstalling removes all local data. To request deletion of any synced data, see our data deletion page.
